Artist statement
„I am interested in the use of language of any kind, may it be with or without political implications and the gap which exists always between what a speaker (architect, photographer, theorist, writer, visual artists etc.etc.) wants to say and what each language as a communication tool allows him to say. This gap is the place where translators and commentators come into game. Commentators and translators are coming with their own mindset which influences their interpretation and which again has to be interpreted. You can play this game on and on. It has no end and that’s what I want to make clear. There will always be a space for interpretation which should we always have in mind when we communicate. The truth lays always in the unsaid, the unsayable.
This is the point where my critical position to any form of political theory or ideology comes from. Ideology always lead the audience to believe that there is a simple solution for a social or society regarding problem, which never could be true because there is always space for interpretation and there might be better and even more fitting solutions, even depending on the circumstances. “
